![]() ![]() And that CD-R will not play on my iMac that I burned it on, but does play fine on my neighbor's 21.5" iMac's internal drive. But, while it won't burn any DVD+R properly, it did successfully burn a CD-R that played fine in my car. It basically came down to that my iMac will not play any recordable/self-recorded DVD or CD (and I verified these discs work on my Blu-Ray and DVD/CD players). I know this post is long, but the next few paragraphs describe the specifics of my results with trying to play and burn several types of discs. It seems to only be working properly with prerecorded discs. The problem I'm having is that my iMac won't recognize some of the discs I put in it. It has the HL-DT-ST DVDRW GA32N (Firmware Revision KC12) that came preinstalled with the iMac. I have a 27" iMac (iMac 11,3) 2.93 GHz with the Intel Core i7.
